I don't know

here's a hypothetical. say you were commissioned by a friend to do a drawing,
then suddenly, when you're so far along, he doesn't want that drawing. would you still finish it?
is there really a point to finishing a drawing if the person changes his mind about it?
I'm just curious. maybe one day when I get into the world of being
commissioned or something... might help or something.

Personally I'm not even an artist. But. If it was a personal friend I'd keep it stored away someplace. Not because I'm a packrat. But as a easy birthday crap scrap gift thing. Profession wise I would probably scrap it and redetail it to fit characters I want and use it to bring in more customers or whichever.
