You guys, I can't even begin to write just how awesome this con was. I'm still reeling a week later. I've met SO MANY AWESOME PEOPLE. Seriously, I love you all. If I've ever had my doubts about being in this fandom, they all went away just by spending time with you all. I've been a furry for like, 7 years, and I finally understand what it means to me now. <3
Onto the report! So THURSDAY I arrive and meet everyone, it was pretty overwhelming but as soon as I ate a TUNA SAMMICH I was good to go.
Amazing people I chilled with/met/partied with/awkwardly danced with: Rawkz0rz, Rei Meerkat, Syd Stoat, Shampoo, Hy-eight, Prawst, OMGSparky, Gcan, Red Velvet, Diamond, MistyClover, Glassy, Alec, Biscuitpup, Kwik, Mangusu, Doryuu, Apollo, Benchilla, Kiba, Civeret, Skye, Sozan, Jelli, Jouster, Zenny, Archy, Rey Rey, Ikato, JD Puppy, Oz Kangaroo, Spark, Zoomba, Tayerr, Ronnie, Havik, AUGH SO MANY TO NAME YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE I LOVE YOU.
Thursday: Dance party outside, suited, rolled around on hotel floor, Rawk is so 80s
Friday: Dance prelims, Rawz0rz SICK AWESOME DJ SET OMFG, Spectrum, Ihop, goth dancing, Prat's amazing giant badge, Rei can't swallow pills AT ALL, AND FLUSH
Saturday: Practice for Duke's video, fursuit parade, dance with Alec, film "It's Always a Good Time" in parking lot, watch FLOOR WARS OMG, the RETURN OF SPOOKYJACK (and the only footage I shot myself at the con lol), group dance practice, MOAR DANCING omg how did all of this happen in one day it's not physically possible
Sunday: last day of the con, made it epic, PSYCH THAT'S THE WRONG NUMBA, dance competition GROUP DANCE, y'all some CRUNCHY MOFOS, steak n' shake run, anthropomorphic mcdonalds, temp tat roulette (I got cinderella on my chest, blazing skull on my neck, winged skeletons with a guitar on my FACE, and Rainbow Dash cutie mark on my hip), multiple DIPSET RIOTS, then crashing a VIP party via collecting all the booze we had and offering it to get in, MIDWEST FIREFEST 2012
