Today we tried the new rules for the game. Started off good and then broke down after a while. Finding that two main functions are still a bit buggy. Missions are still to powerful and hard to beat, and if shuffled randomly don't leave enough variety for people to complete them. And gold is too hard to earn, which is something we are hoping to mend with the trend of buying lower powered cards.
Need to find someone with better experience with mechanics than myself, since it is numbers based they also need to be good at math. I happen to be alright at both, but honestly I have lots to work on still that maybe it is time to think of bringing someone else on to help. Right now the playtesters like the theme and the character ideas, and a few of the game functions. But the game breaks down after the first phase of missions. We are going to try lowering the numbers to make it easier, and making a few of the higher "tier" missions easier to do.
We are also considering adding a global effect or fortune and misfortune deck so that players might have issues or boons to help out during their turn.
Well those are the result this week. Hope to have a new revision update next week.
