what computers do you all use?
So I'm looking to start saving for a new/used laptop sometime hopefully before the end of next year. I'm ok with used if it means I can get something better. We have a desktop that I like but its in an inconvenient location. We bought a brand new large screen "family" laptop at the start of this year that my husband quickly took over, so I got a hold of a small used one through a friend, and it works for art, but not for writing and its very very small, and rather beat up. It was free, so I really can't complain, but I do need something a bit better.
Since I am not really schooled in what to look for in a computer for myself I'm asking around to see what you all use (laptops only please) and how you like them.
I'm looking for something small enough to stowe in a backpack easily but large enough to have a number pad on the right. Otherwise I don't really have preferences, I only play a limited number of games, but when I do it tends to be for a while so one that is less likely to overheat would be a bonus (if thats possible to get as a feature).
Basically I'm using a Dell inspiron 125 special edition (whatever is special about it I have no idea) and am looking to upgrade.
Any advice would be fantastic!
