Do you know of any effective, clear, and generally helpful traditional media tutorials? Specifically watercolor, colored pencil, and marker.
Colored pencil is my most familiar media but the quality is not where I want it. I dont know if it depends on my paper or technique - the paper I generally use is pretty rough. I just don't want to waste my Bristol on my general drawings - I like to keep it for bigger projects.
Because the quality of my pencil work isn't up to where I want it to be, I've been experimenting with mixed media (marker/pencil, and soon watercolor/pencil). I'm not very familiar with using markers artistically and watercolors are a little out of hand for me at the moment! I'm trying to tame them though haha. I know the very basics of watercolors, like how to do washes and what colors mixed together make what colors.
If you've seen any just pure awesome tutorials or have any helpful tips, please share them!
Thanks!

And if its wrong, so what...thats what scrap paper is for :P
For that matter, speaking of paper, try textured stuff as well, its great for effects!
However, for colored pencil, look to
For watercolor,
Formordonis as well, he does some GREAT moody watercolors.
Marker, I'd say
Theres more furs I can think of, of course, but the idea is- not to steal from these artists (and Im not saying that you would) but rather, see what their techniques are- and every artist has a different style to learn from!
Heck, many of these artists that Ive mentioned are more than willing to share their techniques with you if you ask them nicely!
Finally, keep an eye out for those artist boards! One that comes to mind is: www.bellefree.com - yes, its human- but the artists in it are top notch!
She knows Prismas like nooooobodys business, its her fave marker :P
Or if you need markers- Yes, you Megilla- Im open for a trade ;)
