Book Recommendations?

My friend gave me my Christmas present early, and SURPRISE! it's a kindle.
Wondering if anyone had any relatively cheap, but good reads they could recommend.

Be sure to check out the lending library, you can get a LOT of stuff for really cheap or free there.
Do you know anything about the amazon prime stuff that keeps popping up in my searches?
It's $80/yr for regular subscriptions, and $40/yr for students. I think there are also some other ways to get into Prime without an annual fee, such as ordering a subscription-based product that auto-ships periodically. This is particularly popular with things like Diapers.
One thing I like about Prime is that it includes a few thousand free streaming movies and tv shows. Although Amazon has the enormous library of stuff to watch, not all of it is included free with Prime. But there's still a long list of titles that are. So you might find some value in Prime over Netflix if you just watch the streaming stuff.
If you are not a prime member, then just ignore all the prime logos that pop up on the site, they will have no effect on your purchasing.
Hope that helps. :)
