It's that time again!
Here's the recipe for hot buttered rum batter I use:
1 lb butter
1 lb brown sugar
1 lb confectioner's sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Blend in brown sugar and confectioners' sugar. Remove from heat, and whisk in the ice cream, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour mixture into a plastic container, seal, and freeze.
Scoop out some batter, put it in a mug, toss in a shot (or two) of rum, fill the rest of the way with boiling water. Stir.
Grate some fresh nutmeg, and enjoy!

Can you imagine having to work at Wal Mart at this time of year? We find it annoying just hearing it for a month. Imagine WORKING there 8-12 hours a day.
