Brace Yourself...

Your last chance, last summer.
Your last dance, beat to your own drummer.
Go out fighting.
Go out young.
A flash of lighting.
Eclipse the sun.
Brace yourself, brace yourself.
Brace yourself, brace yourself.
Brace yourself for the grand finale!

What I've explored of Madeon's stuff is pretty good too... Pop Culture and The City I can certainly recommend. I'd be buying the album... if there was an album. Seems all Amazon has for Madeon are downloadable singles.
Unrelatedly: Professor Elemental, Chap-Hop, 'A Cup of Brown Joy'. Tea never rocked so hard.

And my favorite dubstep, Klaypex:

Been doing that a lot lately... hearing things and realizing I'm never going to create anything on that level. I guess that's really the curse of the jack-of-all-trades: you truly are a master of none. If I had focused on music when I was 6, sure I'd be knocking out stuff like that effortlessly. If I'd focused on racing when I was 10 (and my parents had some money to throw around) I might have started karting or club racing and worked my way up through the ranks. If I'd focused like a laser on a single career, sure I'd be raking in $120,000 a year before I was 30.
Instead I'm well rounded: Friendly, non-threatening but without any useful edges to actually do anything.
Ah well, life is what you make it, right?
Professor Elemental? That's fantastic. When I say "Ooo" you say "Long"? I'm kinda proud that I actually get that joke, let alone used to drink it. Klaypex sounds good too, must investigate further...
I'm really hoping that this latest endeavor will provide me a path to succeed. I only have *1* more class until I'm done, even though I get to participate in the graduation in January.
Klaypex's album Loose Dirt is downloadable for free from one of the links on that video, and all the songs are up on youtube as well. I like Professor Elemental a lot... Animal Magic is one of my favorites, and Fighting Trousers is a good diss-track re Mr B the Gentleman Rhymer. (He does mainly parodies, so I don't think he's as good. Plus, he plays a banjolele, so there's that.)
Hell, if you just want to poke around, go retro and grab a tracker. I'd totally recommend Schism Tracker, a re-working of the amazing Impulse Tracker so it plays well with Windows. It does take some getting used to and maybe a while to wrap your brain around how they work, but it's a fantastic no-cost way to bust out high-quality sample-driven music.
On second thought, Schism may be a little too un-graphical for this day and age. I'm sure a search for Tracker software could net you something a little more user-friendly. But still, the format as a whole is quite viable.
Thanks for sharing!
On the subject of monster anthems, I shared The Plan That Cannot Fail with you, right? Completely epic... made me love myself and hate myself all at the same time. Like anything I ever wanted to do was possible and yet I would never achieve anything meaningful in my life.
Then again, what do you expect from the same group that brought us Out of This World? Not only could I sing that song all day long, it always makes me dance. And you know how rare an occurrence that is. ^_^
