In happier news

I'm a little more than half way finished with posting In the City of Cats, which may come as a relief to some of you. It's not really a very long story, and I'm not sure if it really holds up as a sequel. It was more an idle thought that got out of hand. But I kind of like it anyway.

I found it very amusing, though, because years and years and years ago, in my first years of writing in English, I once started on this story that had an entire town inhabited by only cats, not even really anthro ones but for the rest all sentient and working jobs and stuff; a city of cats! I even so originally called it Catropolis... =Þ
And yet you picked a more original name for your city than I did. The real name of my city is Blackpool, because when I originally created it and its world I was so ignorant of the rest of the world I didn't know there was a real place in the UK with that name. And probably elsewhere as well. So it has caused some confusion and no little amusement among certain of my friends. I'm still kind of fond of the place, though, and while my cats are lynxes rather than domestic cats, I suppose they're not too far off from what you've described.

Hee, and thanks! I thought it was rather corny, but it worked! And well, I originally kinda started writing that story with the cats being kinda like Luna and Artemis from Sailor Moon, you know? Fully quadrupeds but very intelligent and working with computers and stuff, but I even kept describing things like forepaws instead of arms and such, hee. Mayyyyybe I should look it over sometime again and rewrite it a bit. I know I already plucked one character from that old story; my tuxedo kitty Moondust was originally a meteorologist working for the huge company where that whole story revolved around =~.^=
