Well my secondary-sona Rupert is taking shape... I'm thinking a rat-meerkat hybrid with mostly orange short-fur, golden brown meerkat markings, light grey belly, black gradient-outlining of the marking and belly, and the traditional pink rat tail. Maybe also white and/or black rat-like sploch-spot marking on the back and face/neck.
