It must be emphasized that:
We are not an official Church of Satan group. We are not here on behalf of the Church of Satan. We are not a "Satanic Community."
We are a group on FurAffinity that are made up of individuals who follow the Church of Satan and the works of Anton LaVey. The Ninth Rule of the Earth: "do not harm little children." After all, what sort of religion brings harm to their role models?
This isn't to say that Satanists act like children, but that we admire the way children carry themselves: they aren't afraid to speak their minds, or to pursue what they desire most.
Sadly, as children integrate into society, they lose these capabilities. Being honest with others and with yourself is discouraged in the modern age, with disgusting adages like "everybody is a winner," and "everybody is special." Children have their basic instincts censored as soon as their first t-ball game, where everybody gets a trophy. Many children complain about this, but are forced to accept it.
Satanism is a movement that rekindles the instincts we have lost upon our graduation (or, alternatively, demotion) from childhood. As Satanists, we guide our lives where we see fit and tell people what they need to hear.
As such, it is criminal to bring harm to a child, even more so for a Satanist. Children are not to be taught and programmed. They are teachers to be learned from.

My folks never brought me into the world of recognized dogma so it piques me when people feel obligated by faith rather than common sense to do something.

So much for that whole satanic child sacrifice scare of the 90's. Though I guess they could be referring to that ordo templis whatever... it's some non-laveyan satanic religion that basically tries to be as evil as possible, if I find the article again I'll bring it up.

I concur with this post and the comments. I too, was raised with some religion in the family.....I could never really belong to it....too many holes, hypocrisy, and conformity. I cannot understand a religion where they preach love of all, only to violently protest love of the same sex. My father, thank him, taught me that I should do as I see fit when I was young, ask lots of questions, read many books, learn by doing. I believe in this with my own children. The only time you should step in is if they are hurting themselves or others.

True. Children are among the most honest beings on earth, something that society, school and university triy to break or at least "tame". We all should keep the child we once were deep within us.
