Rent-A-Cops - Bah-humbug!

I lion therefore I lion!
My choir every years heads to a local mall to sing Christmas Carols to bring holiday cheer to all. We gather in the food court area and sang a few numbers, drawing a decent crowd. After about 20 minutes, the plan was to move to one wing and then the other.
So we depart from the food court and headed to one end of the mall to set up shop. We found a good location and start singing, attracting shoppers and a nice crowd once again. After the second song, a old guy, probably in his 70s in a rent-a-cop uniform hobbles over and tells us we can only sing in the food court area. What??
I understand there are some ordinances, and rules, but really? Come on? There weren't people complaining, in fact, there were people singing along with us and applauding. But with his request, we head back in the food court area for a little while longer.
Some one needed to sing a few songs of cheer to him when he was younger... :P

Kids aren't the only ones with the hassle.

o/~ YOU'RE A MEAN ONE... MR. GRINCH... o/~
:D
People (including a few rent-a-cops) actually ducked under me or even went around me to not show up on the recording but NO ONE stopped me.
That guy was an ass. :/
Their job is to ensure the safety of the visitors, that guy was committing a felony by mentioning those "ordinances" and attempting to enforce them.
No security officer should ever try to become the law, there is a major difference between security and cop.
Blocking fire exits, blocking the flow of traffic... not good things.
At least he didn't open fire....
Most folks don't seem to realize that malls, stores, restaurants, etc. are private property that is open to the public.
