Mine changes alot cause I try to make it too much like me. I try to make my fursona animal match my personality exactly and its really hard. So far I think I am going to stick to domestic dog. But the future will tell if I change it AGAIN

I think it's a good design. It's distinctive enough, but it doesn't try too hard to be too original (see ten million rainbow colored emo/raver wolves with twenty-thousand piercings). And the incorporation of the Aries symbol is a clever marking.

Personally I'm fine with oddly-colored fursonas, just so long as it's not overdone (aka. FREAKING RAINBOW-COLORED EMO/RAVER WOLVES!). I'm also cool with strange markings as long as it's not overdone.
I'm a little picky on animal hybrids. I LOVE odd hybrids (like a rabbit/chicken which I did for an art trade). But a lot of fursona hybirds are just silly... like wolf/tiger hybrids, or wolf/dragon hybrids... (Yes, I'm using "wolf" as an example a lot, because, while God knows I love real wolves, but most furry wolves are overdone. ... I like your fursona though... although it's a shiba-inu/ram... not a wolf/ram, right?)

Why is my fursona what it is... Oh this question...
First my fursona started out as a bird. That lasted shortly because I made up an alien race for a D&D campaign called a "Strakk". I liked the design and changed Krat to a "Strakk". Then I got bored of drawing the canid-esque face (which looked a lot like Anubis), and part of me did get real tired of seeing ten-million other canid/canid-esque fursonas.
After a while, I re-discovered my love for "Spy vs Spy" and their facial design (pointed, birdlike faces). Also combined with my friend's insistence that I have a bird fursona because I reminded her of a bird, I changed Krat's face to a pointed, birdlike face... AND THUS THE POINTY-FACE WAS BORN!

I DO NOT THINK your fursona is borderline sparkledog I have told you this a million times over. Yours makes sense and is symmetrical and nice. And it's definitely not too crowded.

I think it depends on the person. On a rare occasion, overcrowding makes sense. Like, Rei's fursona is like, putting it's toe over the sparkledog DO NOT CROSS line, but her fursona fits her! But mostly, I think that sparkledogs go way too far and try just a weeee bit (and by that I mean A LOT) too hard.

Sparkledogs eh? Yeah I know what you mean, yours really doesn't seem to fit into that category though, its colourful and has character without being over the top so to speak. Plus I wouldn't want you to change your fursona as I like your av too much!

MINE IS SIMPLE AS I AM SIMPLE. It's true though, I wanted something with few colours and a neat, sort of refined design. I don't really know if it comes off that way, hope so! I know its not a particularly original design but eastern dragons is what I like, and as there didn't seem to be all that many around when I was designing a character, I had no compunctions over choosing it.

i am a huge sucker for strange hybrids. i just love them. it's fun to see animal traits combined so that you can pick out what's from what.
your fursona is awesome, distinctive and most certainly not sparkledog. i don't find it overcrowded, i just find it awesome :V hybridddssss. nom.
my character's a pitbull-lion hybrid! haha. the pitbull part is mostly because they're my favorite breed, but also because they like to get attention and loves, and i'm guilty of that trait, too i guess. the lion part is because 1. i'm a leo and 2. it just fits the way i look irl, because i have HUUUGE hair :>
