Summary: Cole McGrath is back and is heading to New Marais to gain new powers in order to stop the Beast from destroying the world. You gain access of a new melee weapon known as the Amp, an electrical weapon which has a Finisher Charge that Cole can charge up with Hitstreaks, hitting without getting hit. Some of Cole's classic powers are back, but some you'll have to earn back throughout the story by collecting Blast Shards which also grants you new powers. Doing specific stunts or tasks can grant you upgraded versions of your powers, some depend on your alignment. As usual, people's reactions, side quests, and story all depend on your alignment. New enemies are added to the game. The Militia: A human redneck group led by Bertrand, the main villain, to exterminate every person with super powers, Special: Heavy Gunner, Minigun. The Corrupted, a mutant group of swamp monsters that have nothing better to do but invade the city of New Marais, Special: Devourer, Acid Chunks and Sticky Tongue. The Ice Soldiers, a German group with access to Ice Powers that seek to rule New Marais, Special: Crusher and Titan, Ice Rush(Crusher) and Ice Chunks/Freeze Rays(Titan). Two new allies are brought into the roster as well. Kuo: Human Agent(Gun)/Super(Ice Powers), Nix: Teleportation/Fire/Tar/Corrupted. Two new power elements are added to Cole's power list: Fire(Evil) and Ice(Hero).
Extra News: The Level Creator allows players to make their own side quests for other players to play when they have nothing else to do.
Opinion: Brilliantly made game, the story connects well with inFamous 1 and the graphics are better. Plus the laws of physics are used rather effectively, making the game seem realistic. Hell, when I fall off the highest point it makes my stomach drop. I also love the lighting, shading, and environment textures, making the game just that more realistic.
