Furries, getting real tired of your shit. I own guns, That does not make me an evil person nor does it make them evil, no matter their attire, color or magazine size. This is getting way out of hand, Im used to getting stupid comments and emails from folks that dont like guns and see mine, but since the Sandy shooting, I have been threatened with death multiple times(Some saying they want to shoot me or wish someone would, the irony, right?) and been called a slew of vulgar things ranging from just plain stupid to all out racist and bigoted.
The shooting itself, was and will forever be a tragedy, there is no denying that, and I dare anyone out there to find a firearm owner who would disagree with that. Incredibly young and innocent lives were lost in a fashion that makes me weep, but its avoidance would not have been brought around by stricter gun laws. This man was very sick in the head and the swinging door of our mental health system didnt do what needed to be done, the blood is not on my hands, nor on those of any other responsible firearms owner.
For those that wish for more restrictions in order to keep firearms out of the wrong hands, well, your welcome, they did. Current laws kept Ryan from purchasing his own rifle due to his mental state. At that point, he simply stole his mothers firearms and shot her with them before going on one of the most savage and heinous spree's in the history of the United States. At that point, it became the same problem that all laws face, criminals do not obey them, no crime has been avoided because its illegal, they dont care.
Some folks light candles over this, and others light torches, some will try and exploit this tragedy and push for laws they were already behind, stepping all over the memories of the dead in order to push their belief, others will not. I will mourn the losses, but I will not allow someone else to act as if the blood is on my hands.
So, if anyone else wishes to call me a baby killer, or evil, or insane, or stuck in my ways, or wishes to threaten me with death or jail for actions I did not participate in, do it here, were the nice folks can see you stupidity first hand.

The ones that really make me sick are the ones trying to use this to push their agendas (both pro- and anti-gun, religious, and so on) and get attention for themselves. I shan't name names, but several particularly sick people were trying to politicize it before anyone really knew what had even happened.
Human nature sucks.
turns out what he bought was from one of those tiny early vietnam PDW style rifles, prob worth more than the bushmaster its on. haha
Basically, it banned certain items(Magazines over 10, flash hiders and threaded barrels, other items as well.) and some firearms by name. Intratec was pretty much killed due to their bread and butter Tec 9 being on the list.
I take it you're a gun man? I own a .22 myself, just an old rifle that's been passed through the family though.
Im a big gun man, but more so I am a hobbiest gunsmith looking to break into things and get my own shop going someday.
Gunsmith, very nice. Owning your own shop is a great goal to have, I hope you reach that goal! ^^ I'd love to learn how to tinker with firearms myself too, anything to get my hands and mind going.
And yeah. Those family guns are all sorts of important. I'm going to get this one a little fixed up as the tube it feeds from is getting kinda weak so it misfeeds often. There's some other problems as well, mostly to due with 70 year old plastic on the rifle here and there thy have shrunk out of spec.
That's one thing you do have to watch out for in old guns, warping over time and such. I'm pretty sure the same thing is happening to my .22, it gets jammed pretty often.
What exactly do you have there? Im sure I can help you get it running like a top.
You dont really need to worry about an out of battery detonation for a couple reasons, 22 is pretty weak and the rifle can more than handle it, you may get a little freaked but its happened to me before with no damage to myself or the rifle. This cause is also not going to make it do that because while the bolt may be moving fast, its not going nearly quick enough for it to ignite the primer if it hits it.
Whenever you get the chance, snap a picture of it and I'll open the brain archives to see. hehe
