Yourself and your fursona, first person or third?

Hey watchers!

When talking about your fursona do you go into first person or third person? I tend to switch back and forth depending on how the other person refers to me/Sovy.

Depending on the context, i either refer to him as a third person, or first, since Pea's personality is litterally mine too

Yeah, pretty much the same way I think. I wouldn't call it personality but it is definitely my identity on the internet.

Just out of curiosity do you only use your fursona or do you have multiple characters? And is it the same if you have multiple characters?

I have me/Sedrin and then other chars that are not sonas.

I go with either depending on context, often in third but sometimes in first, he is me with fur and all kind of irrealistic jazz fursona's comes with.

Yeah, Sovy is my online identity so while it is a character it is also who I present myself to most people over the internet.

When roleplaying, it's third person. If I'm just being a goof or something, it's first.

It depends a lot on what I am roleplaying if I go into first or third person. Usually third person though.

I don't roleplay too much and I'm better at writing in third person, I think. So uh, that's why haha

Depends on how long I've known the person; usually it's first person, but certain people get a third-person reference.

Why is that? Is it just length of time you known the person or something about them? If the person has been in the fandom I am more comfortable going into first person but if they aren't or it is only a tertiary interest then I tend to use third person.

Well, I see my characters less as just a character and more as a persona that sometimes I will use as a sounding board for ideas.
They have differing opinion, thoughts, ideas, etc; first person is for people that I'm not sure would be comfortable with the idea, third is for when I figure that I've known them long enough and feel they can accept what i say without TOO much confusion.

Same here, depands on the situation, but mostly in first person as my sona is me ^.=.^ In third just when it comes to talking about sona as a character in roleplay xD

I refer to my fursona in the first person, or third person depending on the circumstances. It's interesting because my computer would autocorrect every single time I put in the word "black" to define the color of his pelt, for another word. But that substitute word would also be accurate in defining who he is, given his taste in music.

Yes, apparently after two decades of learning how to be considerate and polite, it turns out I'm a dyed-in-the-wool racist because my alter ego is a different ethnicity then I am.

In general, third person. Also since I have many characters and I divide between me as person and the characters as players in a RP.

But in some situations it is nice to use the first person (mostly short terms RPs).

My fursona changes by time. it is the character which I feel closest to. I separate strictly between me (dracenmarx) and my fursonas, e.g. my mda soldier Aftab.

It often depends if I'm describing my character, or characters, or if I am speaking as my character. In an rp, in describing what I'm doing, I find it's easier in the third person. Mentally, it's easier for me to step back and see the whole scene.

Oh, for sure, third person is a lot easier for that, especially when I have multiple characters on the go.
