So, my Mom dislikes Furries, and my Dad despises of Gays...

Yeah...I'm a furry and a homo, and my parents both dislike either one of those attributes.
See, my Mom distrusts furries because she feels I get negative effects from going on the site. The incidents I had in the past where I got overly-emotional and left temprorarily made my Mom assume that it was "that website" that was causing my negative emotions. Oh, and she distrusts the fact that
steamshrew has been all flirty with me and likes me that much. She's all like, "What if he's a 50-year-old pedofile on the other line?" (retarded, yes...) or "How do you know those pictures of him aren't a completely different person?" I'm like, "What the heck, Mom? Can't I be friends with people online?" Grrr....I'm sorry to you, Steamy; I'm just saying how my Mom keeps telling me stupid shizz like that.
Now, for my father's views on homosexuality:
So, he doesn't know I'm a fag, and he's not supposed to know because of how much he despises of them. His first argument is that the Bible and the Constitution both are against it, because "It wasn't Adam and Steve, it was Adam and Eve." (That argument is weak because he hasn't read the Bible or the Constitution, so how can he say homosexuality is against the Bible if he's never read it? But, I digress...) His second argument is that "Gays are all about doing each other in the butthole." In fact, we had that discussion, and I told him, "Um, Dad? You do know that they also do it orally, right?" He literally paused, thought for a moment, and was all like, "Oh my gosh, you're right!" (Smh....) So, he goes on to tell me that if people have too much Anal Sex, that it could tear the muscles in my butthole so that I'm impaired of the ability to use the crapper; using colostomy bags and that it can be a major medical problem. So, because of that, I'm now terrified of having Anal sex even though it was my #1 favorite fetish on Earth prior to that. Lastly, my father told me that "all gays act flamboyantly." That is the #1 most annoying stereotype in the world. Look at Rob Halford from the Metal group Judas Priest! He was gay the entire time, even though he was a fucking BADASS! I don't act flamboyant, now do I? He wouldn't know that I'm a fag because I don't act all girly and all that. Whyyyyyyy?!

Not all gay people are flamboyant that is true, I have several gay friends some who are flamboyant and really care about their looks and then I have some who are still manly enough that you wouldn't know until you met them but they have all been wonderful friends to me and I wouldn't give them up for nothing.
See, I'm bi but I am scared shitless to come out to my family, my dad like yours is old fashioned and is always quick to judge, my mom is quite the opposite she's more open minded and supportive about things. I can only imagine her surprise if I told her I am bi, because my mom used to tell me she would always have a reoccurring dream where I told her that I was gay this went on for 5 years all while I was single and hadn't had a girlfriend in that length of time.
I did however tell my mom about being a fur and my fetish for inflatable toys, she listened to what I had to say and at times was curious and asked questions about each of my lifestyle choices so she could understand a little more.
I have a friend who is close to me who is kind of like a brother to me and he completely detests furries. I don't know why or what it is that he finds about us that he dislikes, I think it has to do with one of our friends we used to work with who has a fur for a friend and I think her introducing our friend to her friend and then in turning having her friend bite or try to bite our friend on the arm. LOL
I have another friend who is definitely like a brother to me since we've know each other since high school. He knows about my fetish and he seems cool with it, although at times he likes to poke fun at it and give me a hard time about it just for fun. He however doesn't know I'm a fur yet, although I think I scared him off a little bit back in November, he text me while I was at MFF and was asking what I was doing so I told him I was hanging out with some friends who are furs, he never responded back and I didn't hear back from him for a few days. I think I blew his mind. Haha!
Damn, you're an active furry…I wanna go to a con one of these days. :(
Then again, I am a bit too young to be in the fandom anyways, considering what everyone else is doing. D:
