No problem. I don't know why more people don't know about it to be honest. It's free, and while GIMP has more options, I don't find it that easy to use :/

agreed, when I first got on gimp I figured it good that I just close it and move on, and most of the time its just by chance that a program gets populaly known

True, There's got to be other options that are free or close to it, but Paint.net's about the only other one I've heard of. SAI's my go-to program, but I only have it since a friend got it for me.

You can download addons to paint.net to get it near the functionality of paintshop/gimp takes a loooot of downloading though.

Since it's open source people make tones of addons for it; think the official site has a whole forum of them

I use autodesk Sketchbook Pro. It's cheap-ish... regular price is like 60 bucks, but it goes on sale for around 30 bucks surprisingly oftenl
