You know, one of the bigger reasons that I have been in linux for so GOD DAMN long (4 + years) is a rather simple one. The Simple Power... to do anything that I care to think of. Don't get me wrong, I am an old dog of the MS-Dos days, but for sheer simplicity in making changes... Linux + X11 + GNOME/XFCE = Laze me and Happy me. Sure it's VERY daunting to know that EVERYTHING (even things that you would not touch and leave to an expert) can be configured, rebuild and tempted with; but if you can put-up with that you see the beauty of a system that doesn't hide from you. Unlike windows... Unless....
Which get me to LiteStep.... I not sure, it does alot to make Windows work in a similar matter, if it was not for the tools that it backs in on and Mircosoft conventions that it can't avoid I would be happy. Mind you, this makes me interested in ReactOS again, if I feel the want to experiment... I'll keep it and LiteStep in mind.
So this and HaikuOS.... Which will be first.
