That's pretty darn expensive >.> You've got tools (which you'd have to buy all brand new), materials (ditto there) and time. And depending on what she wanted, you're talking about $300 or more. It really depends on what you need for tools and how nice the paint is. How big the room is, and how long it takes. I think 300 is a conservative estimate.

Yeah, $300 just for labor and supplies, nevermind the fact that it will be original artwork, granted a simple and copyrighted character.

lol yeah, I cooked for my family ONCE and they were like "OH THIS IS GREAT COOK EVERY NIGHT BLAH BLAH BLAH", and I just... hate cooking in most situations. By the time I start to get food, my blood sugar is usually low enough to where if I don't get something within ten minutes, I'm gonna be on the floor, but NOPE. Anytime I'm grouchy and shakey, it's inevitable "What are you doing" "Getting dinner" "Oh! You should make _____"

And it's never anything simple or easy. It's always like, "I took out the stuff to make _____", and I'm like "No I'm making ramen and you take care of yourself"

Yea, I mean, I cook for my family since I'm the only one who can cook with out setting things on fire, but ugh. No one ever wants to eat until my blood sugar is super low and I'm tired and grumpy. O I tend to make a few batches of healthy muffins a week and just snack on muffins when ever my blood sugar gets too low.
But if I'm not in the mood? Fuck it I'm popping in a frozen pizza. They can have their super difficult thing another day.

Yeah, my family does that too. They especially like to point out things and go "YOU COULD DO THAT BETTER, WHY DON'T YOU DO THAT?" And it's like... augh. >.< Yes, once upon a time I painted something. Once upon a time I made a collage.

Also once upon a time I tried acrylic and oil paint(which is what THE IGNORANT think of as 'real paint') and decided that I hated those mediums. I once tried Watercolors too and decided that if I had a lot of time/energy/inspiration, I might invest in it. Hell, I don't even really use colored pencils much anymore. I stick mostly to digital mediums, because it is cheaper to produce and makes less mess and really only requires me sitting at a desk.

But no one thinks about things like cost or effort. Nope. EASY, JUST WHIP IT OUT. PULL IT OUT OF YOUR BUTT. NO BIG DEAL.
