Anthros...

I was just wondering.
If any of you.
Had any tips for me.
About drawing characters in their anthro form?
Because sometimes, I try. But it never comes out nice. In fact, it comes out the opposite of nice.
So watchers, what are your best tips?

FA+

S'what I do mostly.
Also know the anatomy of the animals you are drawing so that they don't just end up like people with animal heads slapped on them because that's often rather plain and boring.
So like, if you're gunna have a rat anthro, make it look like a rat. Give it that basal feeling that screams "rat".
I think the problem is I always do make them too human-y. Thanks, I'll think about these things when I start sketching! :)
Look and draw a lot.
Find artists that you think draw attractive anthros. They don't need to be spot-on perfect, just ones that look the way you want yours to look.
Then figure out where on the human-to-feral scale those anthros are and what characteristics make them attractive to you.
If all else fails, find characters you think look good and practice drawing them. Maybe even draw them as ferals and work backwards. If you can do anthro to feral, the feral to anthro might come easier.
And if it doesn't ... maybe stop trying to think about changing a feral into an anthro and work on creating anthro-only chars for a while.
Once you can draw anthros in general you like, then try to work out how to convert.
Kinda like not trying to learn to run and play basketball at the same time. One skill at a time. Then mingle them.
