The only way I see this working is if the Dealerships offer phones that are coded to the cars.

I'd rather just keep looking for my keys. Especially I have no intention of ever buying a smart phone. My basic one that still costs me $40 a month to operate is good enough for me not to mention the $140 a month in gas cost for my truck anyway.

They have *always* been fancy toys, it wasn't until Henry Ford came along that somebody thought they could have some sort of practicality... And the practicality issue has always taken a backseat to style and gimmicks.

I'm referring to when it was motor + chassis + body = car. Nowadays, there's so much computer shit going on that you can't even lift the hood without a fucking engineering degree from MIT.

Oh yeah. i'm glad the car I inherited is a 2002 model, apparently 2003 was when the Ford Taurus got the "We're putting the whole engine inside of a big crate that you basically need to take out of the car for anything more than an oil change" treatment. I dread the day this car can't be maintained any more and I need to get a new one...
