Depends on the type of phone, some hook up to your computer... if the phone supports MP3's, that'd be the easiest way >.>

hmmm, might the phone have recording software? My cousin next door has some custom ringtones his mom recorded for him. Could try playing a sound and recording it with the phone's microphone?

If you remind me when my roommate is home, I know a program that will convert ringtones to ANY phone service out there and send it to your phone as a text message. It worked perfectly for my Sprint phone, which is the most stubborn phone to get custom ringtones on.

If it's a Winmo phone it can do it over mp3.
