Question for Con Goers + Plus Help..

When Where and how do you know when a Fur Con is gonna happen? o3o Reason I ask is cause I am determined to go to one in 2013 >> I know that the nearest one to me to go to is in Georgia and I can go there if I can get a ride there.

Anywhere else. Idk. I would love to go to as many as I can but again. There that's ride issue. I can drive. But I never drove out of state before and my parents feels more better if I rode with someone that I trust and know will. >>

And if I can get a ride. I am willing to pay for gas. But I really want to go to one. Speacilly if one is held in any state that my close friends are at cause hey. Gives me a reason to finally meet them XD lol

But again. May the only con I be able to go is to the Georgia one and that's it. :/ Even so. I would try to go there. But I want to know when and where it's being held so I can plan ahead and figure things out to go. Thanks~

ALSO!! How do you wash Paw gloves? I know you can't wash them in the washer machine. And I have found something on how to clean them. But I have lost it and can't find it. :/ Help?

Can't give you a ride but I'd ride with you to a con. Dunno if that's what your parents want or not though lulz.

They may feel more comfortable if had a irl friend with me XD Of course I would love to ride with you or you riding with me lol

Usually I just search Furry/ Anime conventions. There are a few databases that keep them updated, and furcons are pretty good about staying around the same time every year so you can plan ahead. This isn't ALWAYS the case, but they do try to keep it regular.

Personally I'm planning on going to MFF 2013, my first furry convention, but not my first CON.

Oh in the way of anime cons I have a blast, especially when I go with or meet up with a bunch of friends. I tend to like the bigger ones as there's a looot to do and I kinda like when it's a "so much to do how do I choose" situation rather than "man...there's not much here I'm interested in"

I handwashed my paws.

DON'T PUT THEM IN THE DRYER that is what kills fur.

I just used cold water, no soap or anything.
They weren't that dirty though.

About the other question, you could try googling, looking it up on wikifur and check the FA groups for that state.

Answer to Question #1: Wikipedia tells you when, where they are and the name of that furcon: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o.....ry_conventions (even though the dates is wrong and need to be updated at least you know the names and location) also furs on here post a Meme about that convention and that convention has it's own link

Answer to Question #2: Post a Journal about Ride/share and see whom all will reply to that journal b4 you go on your trip to whatever convention, also try the convention forum if it has one to see if furs on there is looking for ride share and or going to a convention

Answer to Question #3: Again going back to my answer to question #2 also add about contributing to gas for them helping you out if possible and most folks shouldn't say no cuz your also helping them out by paying for your share of the gas ride to the same location.

Paw Washing I would say sink or bath tub w/cold water and little bit of Laundry detergent, carefully wring it dry then let it air dry the rest then carefully comb it to make it look smooth. I myself took a blow dryer and carefully blowed hot air on it while I combed the body suit and I used it to blow dry on some damp spots on the body and now it looks smooth and soft to the touch.
