Beware this Commissioner

Passing along the general alarm over a user abusing the chargeback aspect of Paypal. The artists only have a real defense in Paypal's eyes because of how many of them there are, Paypal's general terms for seller protection do not apply to non-physical merchandise (such as digital art). However, the accused's defense of their Paypal account being hacked does not hold up since to issue a chargeback claim you must contact your bank first.
So unless they have someone who has gained access to their bank account, their card (since they need the full number and SSN number), and their Paypal account - and for some reason instead of cleaning them out is only harassing vendors they've used recently... yeah you know what? This line of "logic" doesn't even need to be followed...

The journal where the accused tries to defend themselves (currently 250+ replies - it took me half an hour to read, but is a good laugh):

OFFICALLY: on the phone WITH paypal. my agent said
"The card user filed a complaint with his card company, his card company then requested paypal refund the money"
In less HE'S NOT THE ORIGINAL CARD HOLDER
then he's the one fucking doing this.
it's one or the other. you've stolen some one's card who's now trying to get their money back you spent on it.
or you're doing this. flat out, calling your fing bank and having them try and pull back ALL your money
this isn't paypal being hacked. this is your CARD
and they told me all you had to do to fix it? was call your bank and CANCEL THE REFUND REQUEST.
so your lying out your fucking ass, if this has been going on for two weeks, you've done -nothing- to stop it.
this is you.
and your going down because of it.
If anybody is reading this journal, and you have been affected by this user, please send me a screenshot of the Paypal transaction to dragoneer@furaffinity.net. I'm going to look into this, and see if I can check with a few other sources on the issue. If I can confirm and verify everything I will take appropriate action.
Contains a lot of TechKat's now deleted posts :P
