Lovely weather for a new year, friends! It made me chuckle looking at the wall of 'Happy New Year' greetings in my messages.

My father's Dell Dimension 9150 he bought for my family back in 2005 is aging badly. The motherboard circuity responsible for the PCI Express and PCI busses is faulty, resulting in the X16 slot being dumbed down to X1 and causing all PCI slot devices to malfunction with a fatal memory parity error whenever they feel like it.
