When you make a raffle, a random person will win at the end.

Like each entry (comment) is equal to a number. You start with 1 and go on to count.

At the end, you count all numbers. Like 1 to 135.

At random.org you then put 1 to minimum and 135 to maximum and click generate. The number that will appear, will be the winner.

Anyone who wants to enter, does so in hopes of winning free art from the one holding the raffle (this is usually the prize).
One or a few participants are chosen at random and given the free art.

Think it as a lottery, pretty much sums it up. Often require you to pimp their journal and Watch them.

You have a lot of people enter and then you pick a random entry to be the winner. If you have multiple winners you pull multiple random entrants.

The simplest form is put everyone's name in a hat and pull out a winner.
