What are your characters drinking these days?

So I have a stupid theory that fictional characters are defined by what they drink. Lemme riff on this a bit. Jimmy Lee, apart from whatever else he used to ingest, strikes me as a guy who's never lost his taste for trashy cocktails like the Zombie, the Mudslide, and the Alabama Slammer. This is clearly a dude who's never spent an evening drinking alone, or ever worried about looking cool while placing an order at the bar. He's never had to.
Sandi Carter was an avid bourbon drinker in college, who's gone on to develop a rather butch taste for Scotch and Irish single malt whiskeys. I suspect that Sandi has flirted with alcoholism, especially in her younger years, but she's been lucky enough to have Sheila looking out for her and keeping her excesses in check.
Not that Sheila is against alcohol consumption, not by a long shot. She's been a member of the global cocktail party circuit practically since her eighteenth birthday, acquiring a taste for Caipirinhas long before anyone north of Oiapoque had ever heard of cachaça. If drinking is a necessary social lubricant in Sheila's world, a Ferrari or a French Connection in hand helps keep her smiling and schmoozing smoothly.
Genevieve, by contrast, is a beer gal. Not just a knowledgeable fan of Belgian ales and American microbrews, she makes her own home brew -- admittedly, with more enthusiasm than skill, but her friends don't complain. Much.
I don't see Ellie Van Halen as much of a drinker at all, apart from a glass of wine with dinner. Maybe she'll surprise me some day, but for now her lack of obvious vices makes her probably my most challenging character to imagine. One really can have too much of a good thing.
End of riff. What do you think? And what are your characters imbibing these days?

I think Vince and Emma both seem to enjoy fruity drinks. I couldn't site you any because I don't drink much myself. Vince will get the occasional beer and may carry a six pack every now and then for home consumption. Emma's more a social drinker if anything.
1 shot Alize Blue
1 shot UV Blue vodka
1 shot Skyy Dragonfruit vodka
1 shot Blue Curacao
1 shot Blueberry Schnapps
8 oz Blue Powerade
Shake over Ice, strain into a tall glass, and Chug!
Other than that, Mitso likes hard liquor, Gentleman Jack, Kraken spiced Rum, and the occasional Long Island Iced Tea. He's also a fan of Johnny Walker 12 year, a taste he got from his dad.
Though you have an interesting point, as well, my other characters don't really have a defining vice yet, and as such it's hard to quantify them!
and before you ask...he's immortal, and a bit of a maniac XD
Favorite Bar Drinks: Sex on the Beach and Midori Sours
Favorite Homemade Drinks: Apple Bacardi with Mountain Dew
Favorite Liquor: Cake Pinnacle
I also don't mind other types of alcohols and there are moments where I can take shots of Tequila, as long as I had salt and limes with me. But one thing that is off limits to this squirrely is beer, I absolutely hate the taste and the feeling of it when it hits our stomach. Not to mention it has very low alcohol content. When I want to drink something with only 5% alcohol, I'm very satisfied with either smirnoff ice or mike's hard.
So to sum it all up, the sweeter the better!
The Major is a Tom Collins or gin and tonic type. In his Marshal Matt Mason incarnation, he prefers straight rye whiskey.
Tali is fond of Southern Comfort and orange juice on the rocks, or Bronx cocktails (an orange juice martini).
Lowchan prefers hot sake or Jack and Coke.
Willow prefers a sweetish white wine or a wine cooler; her cocktail of choice is a pink gin or Margarita with extra salt on the rim (being a deer).
Rosie likes a good blackberry brandy or a nice Zinfandel.
Toni has an inexplicable taste for grappa, which the rest of my cast regards as one step above lighter fluid. Failing that, she'll settle for Chianti or Bordeaux.
Carrie has developed a taste for a drink called "Grape Juice Plus" which is a grape juice/Everclear blend. ;D
Ciss likes carrot juice and vodka (a "Bugs Bunny Sunrise") or a semi-dry red wine.
Adriana likes pretty much anything with booze in it, in moderation.\
Vi likes lime Jell-O shots. Why, we're not certain. ;^.^
All my characters like a decent beer (preferably a microbrew) or hard cider during warm weather, and champagne or cold duck at celebrations.
(NB: Character sheets here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1139121/ )
He pays attention to labels and doesn't like "the cheap stuff", drinks to enjoy it, not to get drunk.
Gabe and Ertha are wine folks, with Gabe showing his love of being completely iconoclastic (for a CEO) by preferring cheap wines like Maneshevitz, which is also traditional. Ertha also enjoys ales imported from Cornwall, and isn't too proud to admit she nips a bit of hard cider from Dorset.
Sosha, my lovely little adulteress skunk, is a Cosmo girl. She can also be induced to drink cheap, light beer by boisterous male types if the outcome is a drunken mass-insemination.
Bad Apple may be an exile from the family but he still drinks hard cider. The only thing he will never touch is Granny Smith's private reserve icejack. Bad memories in every swallow. He can hold his (reasonably weak) Equestrian ale and various fruit and vegetable liqueurs, and can even stomach the rotgut out of the Griffin Kingdom. Of course, thanks to his relationship with Luna he can have any old vintage wines; ditto with his oath brother Gilbert who owns a vineyard. But Luna has the thousand-year-old vintages. And they are saving a thousand-year-old cask of lychee wine for their wedding feast.
Sir Crescent Sliver actually loves dandelion wine most of all. It was the first thing he shared with Celestia. Every bottle he gets was made by Celestia's own hoof, no delegation and no magic.
I need to come up with some drinks for my work-in-progress story, but it takes place on an alien planet which would have totally different foods and drinks (and plants and animals from which they would originate).
A while back I had an amusing e-mail discussion with
D'Otter is just my Furry nickname. I like Strongbow, but I usually get a small bottle of St Remy for the holidays if I can afford it. (It makes a good mixer with Diet Pepsi or hot chocolate, or a splash of water.) I used to drink Molson's beer, but then they were bought out by Coors, so now I try craft beers when I can.
The Otter River tribe have no capacity for making alcoholic beverages, but they do have cannabis growing nearby. They use it as a pain reliever and anti-nausea drug and occasionally recreationally.
Most of my other stories use your characters, (by permission of course), and you just dealt with them. I think I understand now why Sheila took to that Persian Kitty in "A Taste Of Heaven"; it was something new she could show her business associates. And characters in my stories that aren't yours are almost always one-offs.
"A Fox In The Spotlight" -- I'd have to ask Methadone what he drinks.
"What Bunnies Are For" -- Jamie is a beer guy, probably likes Millar, but Tabitha Bunny was never allowed alcohol or any intoxicants.
"Dominica trilogy" -- 'Nica never drinks... wine. She much prefers the blood of the guilty and the evil. But she does like a bloody mary now and then.
Molson's brings back memories. One of the first guys I dated tried to get us both drunk on it. He needn't have bothered.
I couldn't resist quoting Lugosi. 'Nica's not an easy character to work with, her mind is very different, but she a lot of fun to write!
*sigh* It's too bad about Molson's. Canada has no national beer-maker anymore, although we have plenty of local brewers. Labbats is owned by Interbrau, but at least Belgians know how to brew beer!
On the other paw, Jimmy Lee did introduce Chris to a non-alcoholic version of a Mint Julep, and he's loved them ever since.
Kerja Allegan, my extraterrestrial pseudo-rabbit, is undoubtedly a wine drinker, since that's her family's business back home and wines from the family label would've surely been a staple around the household.
The rest, I hadn't really given much thought to, mostly because it's never really come up as a necessary plot point in any stories concerning them. If I had to speculate, I'd say Coppertail is probably a beer drinker, just because that seems to fit her general tomboy personality. Danni probably favors something light and fruity, like apple or pear cider. The rest... who knows. :)
