Self Realization & Commissions
As I get older I come to realize a few things about myself and how I operate that I had either been ignorant of in the past or just outright denied because it meant that I am kinda an asshole.
In this sense, I think about my drawing. When I draw, I do it for me because that is what I feel like drawing. I hate taking requests unless it's something that I would want to draw anyways. If I'm asked to do something that doesn't get me off, I just won't do it.
I like doing things for friends and drawing things I know they'd like, but I've done more pics for other people without being asked at all than I have for people who have asked.
I think part of it is that I'm neurotic, and part of it is that drawing can be a frustrating annoying hair-pulling process for me. I know anything worth doing and improving on is worth the pain and struggle, but I have chosen other things in my life I want to struggle on - mainly working and making fursuits.
I NEED drawing to be masturbatory, a place where I can just dick around and fulfill my own selfish desires. I'm tense enough as it is in my real life, and having that stress-free zone is very important to me. (knowing of course, that I'm the one who puts the stress on myself. But that's just how I am a lot of the time.)
So my sanity-improving guidelines for those who would like me to draw something:
-I DO NOT take art commissions
-I DO take requests, as long as it's something I like anyways
*(check my art gallery or ask me for clarification. I can get picky too - eg: I like vore but hate digestion so be warned)
-I DO NOT work on any time schedule
However, if there's something I always like hearing, it's ideas. Post em to a picture of how you think the pic should have gone or where it should go from there, or send me a note with ideas. I'm creative to a point, but I'm inspired so often by other people's ideas because they show me new ways to enjoy what I like :)

And yeah I know what you mean. I want to just sit down and write a story, or just sit down and work on my games, but it just doesn't work that way.
Do you know whats happening with my PVC husky? he's not replying to my mails and i need to know if its still on or if he has now cancelled?
Cheers mate!
Rapido
but hey if you LIKE something you and you want to draw it... or write it... i won't stop you. I know I'd love to see anything you do murrr
i really dont think you should draw a picture of the balloon frat crew ^.^
or write a story based off of Wontoon's toonifying goo ^.^
that would be bad or something
*hugs*
really glad I could be an inspiration >:)
So I stay safely in the realm of building suits for myself and drawing gift art and stuff at my own pace. People aren't going to criticize art they got for free, right? I can occasionally draw other people's ideas, if they spark me enough to draw them. I suppose for those uninspiring sketches, that's what the money is for :)
I wanted to get back into simply sketching for sketch sake, not have to finish everything. The tournament art kinda distracted me from that, and everything is at least tied down to graphite over the sketchy blue line.
I like the stuff you come up with, the crazy ideas, the funky suits. I often wish I could make something funky just for myself and/or Croc, but I've got trouble keeping up with my "legit" projects. After a second Blooper head by end of the month, I've got 2 months to redo Candy Coon. I wanna get inspired again to wear her, so it'll drive me to build her in a short time span, only to send her off to Paris.
I don't know if I should try to get Flash A'a built by FC09, especially trying to emulate your awesome wing style. But that birdy will be largely inspired by you. Miss you guys!
The truth that you relate to everything you draw comes through crystal clear and that is pretty inspiring :)
Besides, as I recall you mentioned that you had taped the "Terror Toad" episode of Power Rangers when you were younger...and if you like the terror toad, then you're A-OK in my book (of course if Im misremembering and making an ass of myself here, forgive me)
The realization of.. "Hey waitaminute.. whered they go OMG"
I call that a sortof 'Kink-shock' that then is incubated as an interesting concept until later in life where it can be applied to adult stuff 8D
The toony bad guy trope of "Imma getchoo! Then do stuff to you!" Was so prevailent in the 80's.
I for one think it was a good one ;)
Okay I've rambled my head off now
Anyway, always glad to see when you've done a pic :)
great one!
