What happened?

All I did was say that people ought to be more appreciative of job opportunities. So many people out there say they need a job and then when they get a job, they complain about it and half-ass it or want to leave. It's like they dont take it seriously, even though they claim they really need the money. I got attacked because people said I was part of the problem for working in the first place, telling me that hard work isn't humbling and that honest living just feeds the pigs. I told them that I liked working hard and it wasn't me complaining but other people, and they claimed that I was a slave to society and money and I don't know the meaning of "work". Just a lot of random angry people who felt like unloading, I guess. I havent been on since work. i'm almost scared t o see what kind of ugly monster this has mutated into since then. ;;

I hate those fuckers, we have a lot of those types in Poland too. Wanting bloody money and doing nothing to earn it.

Mrah, hate is a strong word for me, but I will agree that I don't really appreciate people who want a job but do not want the work that it brings. :/

It's more like an attitude problem for me, not only with being lazy and not getting a job, but having this "take all give nothing" kind'a thing. People who see problems with everyone and in every thing and do nothing to change it.

Yeah and then they put the blame on you for being part of the "problem" by working hard to make a living. It's this kind of one sided "I'm right, you're wrong" mentality that doesn't ever get us anywhere. Cant we both be right, peoples? xD How about I work hard and you do nothing and nobody gives you anything free and lets see how that works out for you. It's just hard. I don't like my job but i love to work and i'm thankful to have one because without it i would be starving and in debt. And i'm proud of what I do. I don't judge what others do but to call me a sheep or a cog in the machine isn't very nice. ;;

That's good you have that attitude, but many times thare's nothing you can do to change one's thinking. You shouldn't bother yourself too much with harsh words and rotten opinions of other people. But sadly, many people push their freedom of speech too far. Just don't let them ruin your day .*hugs*

I can't speak for all of them and I know some of 'em work hard. but then there are the people who comment and shut me down who haven't ever worked a real job. That's what makes me frustrated. Or people who say i'm wrong when my taxes are the food they eat. It's different for every person as an individual(Pecause I know some really good people out there who just aren't able to work for reasons other than not wanting to), but I know people who don't work and don't intend to work and abuse the system that draws money out of my pocket for them to buy alcohol and spend excessively on things unsustainable, but i'm the sheep. I'm the wrong one. I'm the idiot who does nothing to change the way the world works. Grrr. ;;

Ughhh, see, I don't get why they'd say that. You made a very valid point! Sure, it sucks having to work a job you don't like, but if you need the job... well, jobs are hard to come by these days. It's okay to vent every once in a while, but so many people just do nothing but complain.
Plus... you're a "slave to society" for working? Waaaat? Sooo what are we all supposed to do then?

-shrug- I dunno dude, It's like they suggest for everyone to just stop working and live off the land. But what are we gonna eat in this day in age; Concrete? There are too many people and we rely too much on money as a form of currency. If I could draw pictures to trade for food to eat and free rent, you'll bet your ass I would. But that isn't the way the world works. Even if you have a really nice trade, like basketweaving or a tailor or a shoemaker or something; It's gonna be hard to be able to trade your craft for anything but money to get food, pay bills, and stay warm. They just don't understand that, and the ones speaking out so firmly are the ones who don't have jobs and don't take jobs seriously. :/

Oh man, yeah. You have to be more careful. A lot of people like to be right and when the right is question and is obviously false, they get mad. And HUMBUG and crap. I know the economy is hard, there is days I really hate my job but the passion for it keeps me going. There is no other way to survive, we need the money to keep things going.

Complaining will get you no where and become negative. If you quit the "hard" job then you fuck it up for everyone. Not just themselves, its like a domino effect. We have to work and recycle the flow of cash. They might as well suck it up and work. Stop being lazy. Life isn't life without hard work. Plain and simple.

:/ That's what I tried to explain. First people were saying that not everything had to be about hard work. when I explained that without hard work we probably wouldn't have a country, food to eat or houses to live in. Just.. blegh.. I wont reply anymore. One or two people backed me up in saying that hard work is important and the people who don't do anything or take advantage of the system to buy nothing but crap have no room to talk, but mann. IK was officially downgraded to look like an idiot lastnight. xD

Don't get me wrong dude. I've foraged before and if I could i'd live in a giant treehouse and be self-sustainable and grow my own food and all that. But even if i had the money to buy the land, you've got taxes, youve got upkeep, youve got to worry about water, warmth, etc. Money, in todays society, keeps us going. I hate it, but it's how the system works.

-shudder- I know it's probably no use complaining here but jeez, it's no fun to have your opinion ripped open and called wrong, invalid, and essentially a stupid point of view. Everyone has a right to an opinion. opinions aren't right or wrong, they are just opinions.
