Well it's not too difficult of a choice, it all depends on 2 things really, they both get about the same MPG but if you want more horsepower then the Charger is the one you'll want, otherwise go with what you think looks better and suits you more, personally I like the look of the Challenger better. So really all it comes down to is looks and horsepower

For me, the Charger is where its at. You can still get a ton of horsepower from even the V6 Charger, bc all the 2012-2013 Chargers have the 3.6L Pentastar V6 and you get almost 300 hp stock! Plus you get tons of room, and unlike the Challenger, you can see out over the hood a lot easier, and it rides better too.

Now if you really want the HEMI, I'd still say the Charger is your best option. Get the R/T version, and you get the updated 5.7L HEMI V8 that still comes with the Multi-Displacement System, that will cruise on 4 cylinders when you dont need all the horsepower, and will drive on all 8 when you do. It cranks out almost 400 hp (390 hp) stock and can still do over 25 MPG.

So really I see the Charger as the best of both worlds. Tons of looks, pretty good power plant choices, good MPGs for its size, and an excellent ride to boot.

I tried the Dart Rallye as well, but there is so much turbo lag that it feels like you aren't even moving before 3000 RPM and even then you have to have your foot to the floor. Which is disappointing cause I was looking forward to that car (I hear the R/T is supposed to be awesome).

I'm only saying the Challenger cause it comes in a manual transmission and a Charger doesn't :D

I agree, Charger the way to go if you insist on a Chryslet product, only downside is it built off an old design Mercedes E class chassis, and in my line of work I have replaced lots of control arms on them, and they can get pricy

The Dodge Charger is nice, but it feels a bit too pedestrian to me, and they're like the Minivan of Sedans: half the people I knew when I lived in WV drove Chargers, and I wanted something different. Depending on your size, I -really- liked the tricked out Dodge Dart, but the leg well was a bit too cramped for my liking; I know you didn't like it, but I'd give their new 2.4L 4-cylinder engine in the R/T a shot before you completely write it off. Otherwise, the classic styling of the Challenger are still beautiful today, even if the MPG is nothing to write home about. I've heard good things about the Avenger, but the side and rear look ugly to me, personally, with that "yet another budget sedan" look.

By the way, shame I never found ya when I lived in Bridgeport! I know just how barren the LGBT community is down there, it's one of the reasons I got the heck outta there when I could. Damn shame too, because waking up to mountains and valleys out my front door every day was awesome.
