AC in the bag, with more than expected...

Well, another year, and ac seemed to fly by. The con itself was awesome. met some furiends of mine from SL, AIM, MSN, and YIM, and i also made a ton of new furiends. all in all, the con was suprisingly pretty much drama free. but for myself and the friends that i was riding with, the 'excitement' didnt start until we were about 3 hours from here.
here's what happened, in the car, were Cien, Patty, Baka and I. we were making good time, and it looked as tho we were going to make it back here at a decent time... as opposed to on the way up to Pittsburgh. the trip up there, took about 18 hours because of a stop in St. Louis, where we dropped someone off. and his ride took a while to get there.
but anyway, i was driving, and was going up a hill. and this is what it was like. crest the hill-see the deer-see the airbag/powder and hear a constant horn blowing. i mean i had NO time to react. which is probably a good thing. i mean had i seen it, i probably would have swerved, and risk fish-tailing and hitting the median barrier.
but anyway, i got the car off to the side of the road, trying to get it over as far as possible, but it was still half-way in the highway.
but anyway, i looked around through the powder to make sure that everyone was alright, and that there were no serious injuries... as did everyone else. we all got out of the car, and we got flares set up to warn the traffic behind us.
the highway patrol showed up rather quickly, and luckily, we weren't but maybe an hour from Cien's parents house. he called them, and let them know what had happened, and also called a tow-truck. we were escorted to a local (at the time) gas station, where we used the restroom, and were asked questions by the officers. after a quick 'check' i was accused of doing narcotics. and why? because i was still in shock at the time. the 'check' was to put your arms down to your sides, lean your head back a bit, and close your eyes. well, apparently my eyelids and patty's eyelids were quivering a bit. and so we are instantly accused of taking narcotics.
well, Cien's parents showed up about 45 minutes to an hour later, and after a brief talk with the officer that had accused us, which by the way, Cien had defended us and had told so to his dad, his parents had taken the four of us into their home for the remainder of the night.
after that, the night/morning was incident free... which i am SO thankful for. i mean right now, as i type this, i still feel bad about it. i know i couldn't have done anything to change the outcome, but still.
anyway, all in all, awesome con, and most of the trip was uneventful. i'm still extremely sore, but i get free admission to AC next year for helping out with volunteering at the con. so i think that it was worth it.
*hugs*

FA+

I'm just thankful we're all safe and (save some soreness) uninjured.
