My dog sleeps in my bed most nights. Right next to me with a pillow under his head and his body under the covers. Just like a person. Sometimes he'll sleep on my butt though.
Do you do the same? If so, where in the bed does your dog sleep?
Well I had a dog when I was a kid (13ish). That would sleep in my bed with me, some times against my chest with her back against my chest, spooning I guess. But she usually slept at the foot of the bed with her back against my legs. Does this count?
my dad's dog boots my mom out (intentionally too) of their bed.
i used to let my sister's husky come be my pillow cuz he loved doing such. then he started tearing up my underwear, so he wasn't allowed in my room unsupervised ^^'
if i had my own dog after my old boxer's passing in '09....i'd be snuggling them in bed all the time :) cuz dogs make bed warm and cozy ^^
Don't have a dog at the moment, but my big, fat, orange cat enjoys watching the educational youtube vids I play to help me sleep...so he tends to sprawl himself across my belly, facing the laptop.
Until you imagine how much time he watches vids on physics and nuclear energy. He's going to rule us all, I swear, and it's going to be easy with all the knowledge he's no doubt gained by now.
Mine hops up and stays in bed with me maybe 20-30 minutes, but he really prefers the floor or his cage, for some reason. Sometimes he will doze off but he never sleeps for a long time with me or anything.
Used to have both dogs before and a cat. both would sleep next to me in bed. The cat sometimes would get under the sheets with me before getting out and sleep on the pillow next to mine.
The dogs are at my parents house. We have four of them so we can't let all of them sleep with us. The cats are free to sleep with us however. I do enjoy that.
My husky normally sleeps either curled up beside me or curled up at my feet. I don't think he can sleep sprawled out, unless it's to block a walking path in the house, lol.
Mine does too. He will crawl up between me and my hubby. He will lay down on my pillow (body pillow) and lay against me all night. Sometimes he will move down to my feet or he will lay on my legs. He is a silly dog that's for sure.
I do! There's my dog and then there's my boyfriend's cat lol. My dog will lay behind me curled up against the back of my legs where I bend my knees, and my boyfriend's cat will lay sprawled out on top of my boyfriend and I. It's kind of extremely adorable.
When I lived with a dog (GSD) he would sometimes sleep curled up on a corner of the bed, but he actually seemed to prefer the floor of his own accord as he wanted to be near the door to protect us. He would often wake us with a sudden bark at something outside like a small animal. XD
Any animal is welcome in my bed. Our cat definitely quite often sleeps with me, and has a ritual of laying on and kneading my chest for about 10 minutes first whenever I go to bed. Then she tries to steal water out of glass, before finally curling up somewhere nearby on the covers. X3
Whenever I visit my parents back in CA, my dog (pit/lab mix) curls up on the end of my bed and nestles right up to my legs. When I leave, he sleeps alone in the same spot for a week or two.
Cat on the right usually near the foot of the bed. GS on my right, but he likes to switch between bed and floor several times a night. And if I get up to use the bathroom, when I get back he usually hogs the whole thing.
My two dogs sleep in their separate kennels at night but sometimes if I take a nap during the day I'll leave the door open and one or both of them will hop up next to me.
I couldn't sleep easily without my snuggly fluffy lady beside me, she mostly sleeps alongside me under blankets with her head poking out, except on hot summer nights when she prefers sleeping on top of the blankets, or on the floor where its cooler.
My first Bernese mountain dog got kicked out from the bedroom when getting about 8montgs old, and started to snore. He's now snoring in heaven. The younger guy was allowed to sleep in the bedroom for the first time a week ago when loosing his company. Neither of them has been allowed in the bed, I'd have to dig out a ton of gravel each day lol.
My DoD. died a year ago, but when she was around. she slept curled up behind my knees. unles there was thunder or coyotes outside, than she curled around my head trembling in rage growling.
All 4 of my girls sleep in bed with me (usually). It really depends on the temperature. My husky always sleeps in bed with me, down at my knees on the right side. And I always have at least one other no matter what. When it gets colder (like now), I usually have 3. My golden retriever is like a furnace with fur, she makes the bed hot and usually sleeps on my left side, either at my feet or up at the pillow. My retriever mix doesn't have a set side or spot. And my chow/gsd will sometimes sleep in bed with me. If they aren't on the bed, then they are on the mattress. It is a lot better with the full-size bed we have now. Used to have a single twin mattress, and that shit got crowded and quite a bit uncomfortable.
I actually got to the point where I have to close my door if I work that night because my sister's cat is so attached to me and has aniexty disorder when I am "unreachable" to the point of forcibly waking me up every hour or so to make sure I am still alive I guess? Cause after I wake up and pet her a few minutes she normally wanders away....till the next hour @_@'
But when I don't work I keep my door open and she often will sleep with me. Or she gets freezing a lot so crawls underneath my blanket with only her tail sticking out and presses herself right against me.
She has also been known to plant herself partway on top of my head @_@'
Lets see My mini dioxin sleeps next to my ass under the covers. My lab sleeps on top of me like her bed. And my Shitzu Dioxin mix just sleeps on my pillow above my head. Im sooooo warm during the winter
Mine used to, but she's smelly and sheds everywhere, so it's a nightmare for her to be on my bed. Not to mention she thinks she's a person and tries to steal my pillow B( XD
With mine, it depends. My dog usually likes to sleep on the bed, but he get really hot so he'll go sleep on the floor sometimes (even though he has a dog bed in the room!) My husband's dog likes to sleep on the bed, but he likes to sleep between the two of us, and I don't like that. When trying to get him to move more to the foot or the bed, he throws a fit and goes and sleeps on the couch (Again, even though he has his own dog bed in the room!)
Some nights, we'll have both dogs on the bed, though. Normally mine curled up against my stomach, and his against his legs. I like those nights
my cat (frits) is bigger than my dog (shetland sheepdog) so he took my dogs place :p he likes to curl up around me and put his head on my head :) sweetest cat ever, u can do anything to him, and still he wouldnt hurt a fly <3 :) as for misty(the dog) she occupied my parents bed :p
My dog never really liked sleeping in the bed with me even though he was allowed to and encouraged. he would sleep on the bed when i was not home or simply not in the bed. every one in a blue moon he would spend the night and i cherished those moments. However he is too old now and no longer can easily hop into the bed whenever he wants.
My dog sleeps in my bed sometimes, but he's not as cuddly as I would like. If there's a spot under the bed he can sneak into he does prefer that. Some nights he sleeps at the foot of the bed, sometimes he will go in his crate, other times he tries to sleep on me or my partner's head!
Yesterday there were some gunshots near the house (probably due to either firing practice or the huge number of robins, thousands of them taking refuge in just a couple trees) and he got so scared he hid under this giant pillow that's like 3 feet x 3 feet. I shoulda got a picture, he's so cute!

*laughs heartily*
Well...until it all turns into a dystopian wasteland.
i wouldn't mind them sleeping in/on my bed if they didn't shed so much but asdfg i don't like pet hair all over my stuff

But i have no problems with Dogs in my bed, except they fart, thats ugly
^,,^
But.

he doesn't sleep under the covers.
He usually lays with his head on my chest or curled up next to me
with his head beside mine on the same pillow with me.
He'll also lay on his back sometimes with his butt in my face -
but I can forgive him <^_^>

yeah I know, but ill mention it anyway~
He's allowed to sleep on the couch, but he prefers his blanket or the tile floor. :3
Also our bed is an air mattress... not good for big dogs to be walking on. >>
wish I could, he would be warmer than my comforter
