My hard drive is failing. It's already crapped out twice. I'm lucky to have got online this morning. I don't expect to be able to be online for a while once it fails for good. I may have this comp fixed or I may get a new one. Either way it may be slow going. So If I disappear don't worry. I'll be back ASAP.

By the way I sent you a note. Please don't hate me! You'll know what I mean when you read it.

A DnD Black Dragon's natural breath weapon is a thick spray attack called Cone of Acid...the rest you can figure out.
(you're making me wish I knew something about DnD. I've never gamed at all...)
Step 1. Get IceWind Dale! (Or Baldur's Gate 1-2 but BG1 is harder, since it's not so evolved as BG2 or IWD)
Step 2. Install it!
Step 3. Play it whenever you want it!
I can guarantee a fantastic story from this games. IWD has less talking and more fighting. The game-play is also more linear, then in BG. Bg is at least a 50 times ,ore huge, then IWD, since it's not that linear. Where in IWD you get specific goals, and you aren't really strolling far away from the main quest, in BG you are forced to do side-quests. At one time, you need to collect 10,000 Gold (which is a ridiculously large sum in DnD) just to buy your way into the next chapter, and this will force you to do side quests or do a long quest-chain, which has that huge reward at it's end...IWD is focusing more of the fighting, a.k.a. you playing the game, but not forgets the epic storytelling. I urge you to give the game a try!
Just a few useful tips, if you try it:
You can PAUSE the game ANYTIME, pressing the SPACE key. That's how you control 6 characters at a time. It's comfortable, since you can analyze your situation, give commands to your units, and when all is set, you press SPACE again, and enjoy the carnage, which you planned out. This way, attacking any number of monsters with your 6-unit party becomes easily playable, which wouldn't be a case in real time. Trully a game-feature, that makes the game work!
When creating your 6 man party, be sure to have at least 1 tank, and 1 healer, and some magic damage dealing units, maybe a bow using one as well! There are fights, where magic isn't working against your foe, so muscles should be doing the talking. A mage is a source of carnage, since the fireball spell literally solves 80% of your monster problems. The spell Web, Entangle will hold your foe in place, and you can easily snipe them from afar with either dealing area damage with a spellcaster, or let your rouge's bow do the talking. The healer is a must. Your characters will be getting hurt, dieing maybe. A powerful healer can even resurrect them, if they are freshly killed. My party usually consisted out of a Warrior for tanking and close combat purposes, a rouge for detecting traps and sniping damage, or backstabbing, a priest to do the healing, buffing and even damaging (mostly undead), a druid to crowd control, heal, summon allied animals, and deal damage as well, a mage to deal powerful magic damage, and a six party member, which is your main character in BG while a freely chosen 6th member in IWD...I've picked a barbarian, for more tanking and melee damage dealing, since one tank can die by mistake...
Have fun!
And the dragons in it...There's aBlack Dragon in BG2, that your party encounters. the Black greets the party with: Food! Irenicus sent me food, finally!
You try to talk to sense into the beast: Hold, mighty beast! Let me...
The Black Dragon interrupts you instantly: Nizidramani'yt doesn't talk with the food!
Moments like these are making the game worth playing. When was the last time an enemy made a threat with only words, that foreshadowed your near demise with such certainty? That dragon knew power, and was not afraid to mock your party's strength. I really stopped before the fight began, and chuckled a lot on Nizidramani'yt manner of speaking. It was entertainment pure!
And yeah. I'm not likely to take up any gaming at this point. Besides I just got a new 3D sculpting program to play with that is easy and promises to be lots of fun.
Looking forward to your return!
Hope you get back online soon
