Is MSN going out of style or something? I only ever see 4 or 5 people online there anymore when it used to be many many more. I know they're merging with skype here somehow. Which sucks because MSN I think is the only chat client I've ever enjoyed the interface. Great for sharing photos and calling with too.

Yep, MSN is going down for good come March. Microsoft is focusing all their attention on Skype

Most anyone who logs into the MSN client (not a 3rd party MSN, but the Windows MSN client) will be directed to download Skype and merge accounts. This happened to me, so zip-zop-zorch, I'm merged and my primary IM is Skype now.
