Those, "Your Character Here (YCH)/"This Could Be You" (TCBY)/Pre-Posed/etc commission nonsense.
It feels like it's the next big thing everyone wants to do and it's the dumbest shit ever to me!
I know there are some uncreative people out there, but do they really have nothing better to do than throw money at artists to draw their characters in generic boring pieces of art? Really? Seriously?
The only time I pay for art is when I have an idea I just can't help but get drawn, I simply have to have it! Not just because I have money and stuff...
Maybe I could understand it if there was something really unique being offered, or if there was some insane discount, but no, that's not how it seems to work...
Hell some people have YCH auctions! Where the highest bidder or two get to put their character into generic position #1/2....

Someone explain to me why you would rather buy a YCH sort of commission than put your character into something you thought up yourself?
Seriously, explain the appeal to me?
PS, I also think adoptables are stupid too, but it's the YCH stuff that really irks me the most...

well funny thing is now that I am somewhat a artist
If I wanted to be a douche I could just trace the pose and add my own character in it
You could totally eyeball it and recreate it but mmhmm :3

or some character with impossible anatomy?
Have you ever seen a YCH like that?
Also when I make commissions I ask for wips or to watch the artist make the sketch so I can make sure it matches my description. So I can always get exactly what I want and be as creative as I darn well please already.
So that reason doesn't work super well for me DX
