Well, I got a new laptop. Let me first give some backstory.

In 2009 when I bought my Macbook Pro it was significantly more expensive than its PC equivalent. This time around I decided I'd save that chunk of money and just get one of the cool new ultrabooks, or even a really nice normal laptop. Guess what... they got expensive in the last 3 years!

The past 3 weeks I have also played around a fair bit with Windows 8, and I'm going to be honest: I hate it.

Lo, I discover that since 2009, Apple prices are identical for their models (thought said models are better than they were in 09). So I'm sitting there, looking at this, and it's obvious. I preferred my mac for a laptop, and for the same specs I'm really NOT saving much money now a days going PC, and I really disliked Windows 8...

So yep, I bought a new Macbook Pro.

You know, for a guy who just 3.5 years ago was religiously anti-Mac.. I now have an iPod, iPhone 5, and 2 MacBooks. Yep, turned into an Applefag xD

But really, the pricegap has closed a lot, and based on experience the macbook pro will be more durable and reliable over the long run (assuming you don't put it in the sink with the dishes), and windows made a shit OS so the decision is quite simple; at least for me.
