Soooo, I missed the whole Superhero/comics era :( What with all the rash of different movies coming out, such as the Batmans, the new Superman, ect, I want to get to the roots of all these things. AKA the comics or the more well done cartoons/movies that were done after them. Anyone here an expert for where I can find all this stuff, or where to start? I have a particular interest in Thor, Green Lantern, and the Flash.

Seriously, the city in which I live (around 52,000 people) does not have a comic or gaming store. Nor does it have a video game arcade (unless you count a few machines in a part of the cinema).
If it was written in the '90s, burn it with fire. That's when everyone started thinking that heroes with guns, swords and claws who regenerated and murdered everyone were cool. Artists who couldn't write were hired to write because they were popular, even though the most popular of them couldn't draw either *coughcoughRobLiefeldcoughToddMacFarlanecough*
I can make a list of DC and Marvel comics to check out from way back when, but I don't know where to find scans of them. As far as viewing goes, look at Batman:The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Static Shock (optional, aimed at a younger audience at first but it matured), Batman Beyond (optional), Justice League, and Young Justice, in that order. When Batman TAS came out, it was the beginning of a really good period of comic-based animation, and they've basically been building on the same characters since then. For instance, Static and the older Batman and his protege from Batman Beyond have appeared in Justice League, and Static, Batman and Superman have all been in each other's shows and have a history. If you have to narrow down your list, watch Justice League and then Young Justice. Those two are not really optional. They are awesome, and they should all be on YouTube. The only downside is that you might have to do research now and then to know who supporting characters and minor heroes are, because they don't always explain it during an episode.
There are a lot of straight-to-video movies also, but the quality is all over the place. Watch Ultimate Avengers 1 and 2 (it's an alternate universe though), Young Avengers (optional, kinda cool), Superman/Batman:Apocalypse and other pairups, and search IMDB for Justice League, Supes, Green Lantern (he has a good animated movie) and Thor (I think he has a movie of his own and one along with Hulk). Superman/Captain Marvel is decent. You'll have to watch Justice League to see much Flash; he has some great moments and one really, truly outstanding episode that you will be happy you watched.
Hope this helps, Silver!
Also going to the series website such as marvel.com can yield another shocking find such as

But that's all I can think of
