A new community group, and a RL con vore game idea
13 years ago
For those who follow me, figured I should put up an announcement that I've started a community style account on FA dedicated to the Con Going Vore group, Hope to help people keep in touch and meet and eat there fellow man. Though I'm sure its easy for those who've been there many times, for the fresh meat..they need to find the food...or find out how to be it.

Also have been tossing this idea around in various places, a Con Focused game that mixes a bit of vore and a bit of a scavenger hunt without being creepy..ish(Reposted after this)
Well had been thinking, a dangerous hobby I know, but after my last year at AC I think i've come across a fun little game/scavenger hunt that does not dwell into the realm of creepy much at all. If folks can somehow see this as worse than PG, please tell me because I can't. Its mainly been an intellectual exercise that might help folks recognize eachother on first times as well..
Pred/prey games at cons-- in the con themselves. Wearing a specific badge makes you part of the game(You are what I eat) for pred, (Eat me) for prey, (Eat or be eaten) for pred/preys.
The game commences and as folks walk around if a predator sees a prey they tap that player on the shoulder show there badge and just take em aside and say how there gobbling em up, playfully taunting them, perhaps taking the badge(easiest if personalized in some ways to show who it was), or just making a mark that they scored(a hole puncher might work nicely). Taking the badge has the negative effect of taking someone outa the pool for a bit though.A better solution might be just to take photos of the badges snarfed for evidence of your catch..hmm
Folks are ONLY in game when wearing the badge... So if someone wants peace and quiet just take off that eat me badge and your safe..its rude to put on/ take off and then pounce..Though score keeping can be done for a tally there are no prizes for winning, and certainly no rewards for being a dick about it all.. its all for fun.
I'll be making up the badges for the most part, simple design, pretty easy to recognize I should think, those of you who'd like to play the game early send me a mail or FA/EKa message, can probably personalize your chosen badge with your name, nothing fancy but a nice little touch I can do. Will likely have a half dozen of each sorta generic badge with me to hand out to players
Will post a picture of the various badges later, still working on a eat or be eaten style one
Of course, being half a year away I don't know if i'll end up doing this but seems like a fun little diversion for those of us who like to dine on our fellow man.. or woman.. or fish.
Comments? Improvements? Ideas? A Pulse?

Another game is Biggest Pred:
Everyone is given a number and a target that's randomly selected. When they find that person, they nom that person by tagging them. The pred then takes his/her prey's target. If they received their own name, they would find a moderator and when 4 people save themselves, then their names are randomly matched. This could be done very easily using texting.
The biggest pred sub game has a problem of alot of subgames, the complexity might make choices to hard to find.. Since everyone isn't pred/prey the limiting factor can be there. Take for example, if we're lucky and have 30 players, divided up evenly that's still a very small number in a huge con. I'm certainly wary of forcing folks to "play" a roll they are uncomfortable with(A pure pred getting nommed)
If this game consumes folks attention for the whole con rather than being a diverting aside i think folks'll be disappointed. I'd like for it to be easy for people to "Take time out" without being in game(removing the badge from view). Would rather avoid having a moderator's being burdened with too many chores as well.
Furthermore, while the badges are easy enough to see at a distance because I hope to make em standardized being able to find a person beyond that might make things alot harder.."oh there someone with a prey badge... easy to see.. now lets see who is it.. okay, let me get closer.. oh damn..wrong person.... where the hell is Talon... " grumbles induced. This could be rather exasperated by those targets who either blend in or tend to not be in game alot
Texting is something i have almost no experience with, first i ever had an inkling of needing it was last year. I belive it would require folks knowing eachothers numbers.. its something I'm not sure everyone would want all there fellow players to know, some of us are a bit secretive.
Really do appreciate your input, and while I might seem grumble about ideas i'm just trying to thrush out stumbling blocks and explain my own thinking
The crux of the problem s if the possibility are reduced to much there will be a lack of players.. For sake of argument lets assume all categories are equally represented(Not realistic i know)
For example lets start with Pred, Pred/prey, and prey, if we add in M/F M/M and F/F(three other tastes in gender mixing)
So 1/3 of the population is pred..who'd have to hunt the other two third, not to bad, but if you narrow it down again to M/F only one of the three prefs are viable, so you'd be hunting for 1 out of six players... when we'll be a very small fraction of folks in general at any convention
The event would be more be toward hunting down one person rather than just meeting folks at that rate, very little interaction or meeting new folks. Not thinking of this being a dating service afterall
This also would have the concern of people who play characters that aren't there own gender(Its a fairly widespread phenomenon)?
Herbivores look for special symbol markings around the playing field, usually the whole campsite, like a scavenger hunt. The player who has found the most markings and survived wins as green team.
The Omnivores can look for the food icons, or try to tag an Herbivore for food. All of the Prey both herbivore and omnivore have team colored beads which represent how many "lives" they have. The winning Omnivore is the one who has the most Icons, and or Herbivore life beads that are still alive at the end of the game.
The Red team, naturally are the Predators! They go around and eat both the blue and green team. Naturally, the winner is whoever has the most life beads at the end of the game. Normally to balance the game, there are few preds compared to the other teams.
Things get interesting when special characters get involved. Wind can point to food, which can be good or bad. If an Herbivore comes around looking for food, the wind character can point in the direction of a marker. If a pred comes by next looking for food, wind would then point right at the prey that just walked by.
If the game calls for it, a Hunter can be set loose in the last moments of the game whose job it is to "Hunt" down the preds with either a nerf gun, or something safe. If a pred gets tagged by a hunter, the game is over for them, so even the red team is not all mighty!

One of the big tricks is to make it indoor con safe, Nerfguns going off in crowded places at AC would probally get the players banned for life, so that is out.
Furthermore since people would likely not all know eachother before hand suddenly ambushing someone you don't know has gotta be done with a bit of tact as well
(Why am I using AC? well its the one i've actually been to... and can at least visualize it easier, the fact that its the largest lets me work on some of the trickier aspects as well)
To avoid the surprise factor I had hoped a tap on the shoulder would be enough rather than someone trying to reenact wild kingdom by tackling a person in a crowded room. The proper badges would defacto mean someone should expect to meet folks I'd assume
Common decency is something i suppose i can't expect though, like not trying to take folks away from a ongoing conversation.
At its heart is still view it as a way of meeting people and the actual game is a nice fun after effect
The one major thing I'm going up with that could be a headache from my own perspective is distributing the badges.. I suppose i could send folks the proper files and have em self make things(Albiet, I sorta wanted to give those out as souvineers)I could also just give extras to various other well known vores.
And, yes. I perhaps use the term pounce a little too loosely. I would hope to get a gentle tap on a shoulder at a time that I am not in the middle of something else, and not a full blown jump and mauling in the middle of another convorsation, dance or actual meal. XD
