Game development needs support - Check it out!

            Hey everyone!
So I've been working with BeastsFuryStudio for a while now on 2D sprite animation for his fighting game, Beast's Fury, in-between my other commissions. It's gonna be an awesome game... visit his userpage to see some of the artwork for it, and I'll upload some of my work on my own page, too.

It's worth mentioning that Beasts is trying to maintain a high standard of quality for this game, and like all things animated, quality costs money. So if you like what you see, please consider donating any amount to him to support the game's development. Here's his journal about it:

... but I assume you've seen it since it's right there on his userpage, which you implied you've looked over. That seems to qualify as a game design in action to me but maybe I'm wrong. In any case you're right about the lack of a playable demo or in-game screenshots at the moment. Bringing the sprites into the engine is something we're working on right now.
The best bet to get folks in is always to put up a playable demo, but short of that a mockup would do. I dunno what the priorities for BFS is, but getting closest to a working tech demo(Vincent vs Vincent, 2 round match) would be optimal for showing the capabilities and feel of the game. Short of that, a GDD might bring in the guys that would care to invest as a business venture, but that gets complicated quick.
It's easy to state what the industry expects but the logistics are another thing entirely. You've been very thorough and helpful with your descriptions of what investors look for in a start-up game, but when it comes to hiring the labor necessary to make that alpha build a reality, it's a very different story. I've seen the same story pan out whether it's a start-up game, a start-up animated series, you name it. The primary difficulty is always the same: You can't build the product until you get the money, and you can't get the money until you build the product. It's a paradox and a conundrum that every entertainment-based start-up has to face, and to overcome in their own way. There is no Holy Grail solution. You have to either find free labor or scrape enough money together to get your pitch completed for the big investors and producers. Trust me... if you were hiring people to create a fully animated alpha build for a 2D fighting game, you'd probably be asking for donations, too.
That's all we're trying to do. This isn't a full production pitch, not yet... however, a production pitch is exactly what we're building, so if you like what you see so far and feel inclined to help out, it would be very appreciated. If you would prefer to wait until the production pitch is ready, that's fine too, I understand. ^_^ That's all!
Out of good will, if it's okay with him, I'd like to offer my service in return for knowledge and possible help for my future development on my game projects... if that's okay with him.

Maybe you can add the link to your journal for anyone else who has a tumblr, so they can reblog it and spread the word c:
Is there anything that you want me to add to the post too? I think I was a bit vague with the description.
