The boy you punched in the hall today has committed suicide a few minutes ago. That girl you called a slut in class today, she's a virgin. The boy you called lame, he has to work every night to support his family. That girl you pushed down the other day, is already being abused at home. You think you know them. Guess what, YOU DON'T!
Re-post if you are against bullying. I bet 99% of you won't , re-post this if you're that 1% with a heart.
Got this from
taijeythecat and as a victim of bullying myself, I thought I'd share it and spread the news/awareness. It's wrong and has to stop one way or another. It's wrong, damages an important part of someone's life, and can do untold damage down the line. I know, I took psychology 101, and it said that at certain stages of brain development a traumatic event, like bullying, can lead to unhealthy behavioral patterns and other issues. I'm not really religious, but the 'Do unto others' rule comes to mind here. If all the bullies out there could just feel an ounce of what their tormentees go through then it'd show them what they're doing. Sorry if I ranted here, but this issue always gets under my skin.

I understand entirely. If I didn't go through bullying as a fourth grader I would've probably had better self confidence in myself than I do now. But at the same time, I'm not afraid to be different, to step outside of what is considered normal in today's society; to be unique.

OP
I've got the exact same problem, although mine took place in middle school rather than elementary. I lack confidence to do even the smallest things for myself. But I guess you are right on the unique part. It may not be how I want to be, but at least I can say I'm not a mindless drone or stereotype.
