Ratha's Creature Graphic Novel Kickstarter

If you've been wondering what I've been up to lately, it's this!
Ratha's Creature: the graphic novel
First published in 1983, Ratha's Creature is the story of Ratha, a young female of a clan of prehistoric catlike creatures who call themselves the Named. Intelligent, self-aware and able to speak, they have formed a society and herd animals instead of hunting prey - but they live in a harsh, savage world, and their way of life is precarious, threatened by the raids of the Un-Named, their vicious, voiceless relatives. After a destructive forest fire, the resourceful Ratha conquers her fear of the "Red Tongue" and realizes that it is the weapon that may just give her clan the edge in their desperate battle for survival.
But she hasn't reckoned on how the rest of her clan will react to her creature, and she's about to discover that not all the Un-Named are as mindless as she's always been told . . .

SheilaRuth and myself have been working hard on the graphic novel version. I've been the cover artist for the new editions of the book put out by Imaginator Press, and here's the cool thing about that - I'm really just a fan! I read the original book back in 1983, when I was 9 years old, and I've been addicted to them ever since. The other two artists on the project are originally fan artists, too, and were selected in a contest that ran this past summer. Clare Bell has always been very interactive with and supportive of her fanbase, so this isn't just a job to pay the bills, it's Ratha-nerd's dream come true and a labor of love.

I really like your art, so the comic will be that much cooler. :) I've been wishing there was a comic of the Ratha series since I read the first book oh so long ago.
