DAFF Selection for 1/16/13 Dragon vs Dragon
12 years ago
Selection for Wednesday January 16th 2013.
Artist name -

Image type and characters - Type A vore scene showing a dragon eating another dragon. ( An extra note to pass on, Zanten has posted a journal entry on their user page saying that they have left Fur Affinity. )
Why this image was chosen - This is one of 4 images in a set of drawings done by Zanten, uploaded by Talnonblaze that caught my attention because it has a delightful traditional ambiance. Personally I like artwork that has detail in it and this picture shows that one can add detail to a piece without going overboard on shading. In this upload the character designs are well done with the predator dragon's long neck and mouth interior well represented. One of the interesting points to note is that the neck bulge is not just a lump but it actually shows a partial outline of the prey. There's something about the look of the predator dragon's neck and chin that works well here. The way the pred's tongue is pushing up against the prey's chin as it struggles to avoid it's fate ads a bit of darkness, finality to the image. The panicked look on the prey and the way it has been framed in the mouth of the larger dragon puts across that it knows it is in its final moments. The predator dragon's tail curling in the background is an interesting addition, so are the multiple horns, the saliva drop coming off the chin is a good touch as well.
Good work on this picture and the others in the set Zanten. also thanks to Talonblaze for allowing us to share it.
When I first saw this series of pictures I liked this one the best, not just because it looked good but because of the same reason you said.
