Guilt Tripping (Vent)
Hey,
Ever since we told the boss (who is Rak's step-dad) that we are moving, Rak's mum has been trying to guilt trip the both of us into staying. There is one major reason why we want to move (which we had to tell Rak's boss, but he's been sworn to secrecy until we're ready to tell), and moving to the city is the best option for that reason.
It's just so frustrating to hear all these reasons/excuses (nearly all of which are selfish of Rak's Mum) as to why we should stay (without saying flat out 'i think you should stay because i feel that you are abandoning me' (which we're not. Rak's mum has some issues, i think)). I just want to scream at her that we're moving because it's the best decision and even not, she shouldn't be trying to impede upon our lives quite so much. If Rak worked for any other person, we would not be getting this level of drama about leaving.
It's not like we're leaving in the middle of the contracting season OR in the middle of the calf season. No. We're leaving at Easter. This means, Rak's still there to help out and finish this contracting season and will help prepare the farm for winter, but will not be there when the calves start coming in for feeding.
ARUGAGAGAUAG!!!!! It's just frustrating. I will probably delete this journal at some point when I calm down.
On a side note: word searches get tedious after spending four hours making them.

I guess I had always thought all families were like that, but I've been seeing more and more parents do this. It's not just 'guilt tripping', it's actually abuse.
Eh. She'll deal with it and it's only three months away (the move that is), so we can deal with her bitching and whining for a bit longer.
