Kicking Depression's ass

General
Over the past few months you may have noticed I have been more withdrawn, antisocial, and to an extent neglectful.
Now, I am not exactly sure what the mechanism was, but for some reason over the past few months I was feeling quite depressive.
The sleeping in, the weight gain, the lack of interest in even things I loved.
That sucks. I didn't talk to friends, I didn't get back to people.. you know..
Granted, if you have ever had to deal with depression, this is not news to you.
So, I have been kinda kicking depression's ass lately.
I cut out the junk food, and re-started on the regiment of b vitamins that I had been on in the past.
I hate how such a simple solution can really make all the difference. It kinda makes you feel like an asshole for not trying the easy steps first. Once again, if you ever had to deal with depression, you know this all to well.
With that, I am doing much much better. I already lost a little weight too. Partially because of diet, partially because I stopped living in bed.
I really do appreciate any positive sentiment, but it is unnecessary.
I simply wanted to advocate the use of proper nutrition as a means to help anyone with mild depression. May not be a cure all, but I have to tell you, it worked for me. That, and you really have nothing to loose by eating right.
I am off to dance to the Jackson 5. That is what life is all about.
Take care of yourselves!

I'm glad you're feeling mentally better too!
just joined the gym myself to help kick off the sad following me!
Kick that depression in the butt!
(must be the excessive snack foods, odd hours, and constant stress of deadlines)
I just wanted to clarify that healthy eating, and b-vitamins seemed to work the best. B-vitamins alnoe did help tip the scale in the right direction.
i would really like to hear if they helped you too. Let me know if you ever try then.
I'll definitely let you know if they help. I've been sticking to an exercise regimen that seems to help a lot, and I try to avoid junk food, but I'm still feeling some nagging some days to just stay in bed and sleep forever. I'll pick some up this weekend and give them a try. :)
You can do it though! <3
And what B vitamin complex ya using?
Keep fighting, man, I know how bad that crap can get you down.
Glad to hear you're doing better, though. KICK THAT DEPRESSION'S ASS.
