Had a little disagreement with a patch of sand coming down a steep, dirt jungle road a little while ago. My bike is a bit scratched up (looking more like the average bike around here =p) and the handlebars need to be re-aligned to the front wheel but otherwise it just got all dusty. I landed on my chin so my head is fine but I'm gonna have to grow a new set of knuckles on my right hand, some knee skin and of course a new chin covering. All in all it wouldn't have been too bad if just this little hook on the backend that you are supposed to use for bungies hadn't slid into my tennis shoe and the bike fallen on that ankle. I was trapped under the bike....dammit! I tried every way I could to lift it off myself but couldn't without really hurting my ankle worse, so I tried to untie my shoe to remove it. Couldn't do that either. So naturally I had to lie there in the middle of the road and wait for someone to run over help me. Pretty soon a couple of guys in a truck came and lifted it off me, offered to ride it home for me and give me a lift in their truck and gave me a kleenex for the blood. I declined the ride, thanked them and in bout ten minutes when the adrenaline shakes wore off rode home. Another fun day in paradise. I guess I'll be limping and staying out of the ocean for a bit. *shivers* I can just imagine what that salt water would do on these raw patches.
