Song of the Week 2
These are idle quandaries of weaseldom
This week's song is "I was born for this" by Austin Wintory. This song is from the game Journey. This is probably on of the prettiest and well thought out songs for a video game ever. At first I thought it was a made-up language but it turns out that its different pieces of stories and quotes sung in their original languages. I've put the lyrics in their original language and where them came from along with the translation.

Aλετο μέν μοι νόστος
C'est pour cela que je suis née |-(French, Joan of Arc)
この道や |-(Japanese, Matsuo Bashô haiku)
行く人なしに

秋のくれ
C'est pour cela que je suis née |-(French, Joan of Arc)
Ne me plaignez pas
C'est pour cela que je suis née
To each his day is given
To each his day is given
'Tis time that I fare from you
Lost is my homecoming
Lost is my homecoming
I was born for this
Along this road
Goes no one
Along this road
This autumn eve
I was born for this
Do not pity me
I was born for this
