Sometimes the fans make mistaken assumptions about the sexualtiy and gender of their favorite artists. They start sending them obnoxious love mail and other creepy stalker stuff. Often it can get rather graphic, suggesting all sorts of things that might be somewhat mortifying and anatomically impossible, given the mistaken assumption.
An artist I used to watch on sheezy before it went down the crapper had that happen. She drew gay porn, and kept getting notes from people wanting to suck her big cock, among other things.
