Virgin Trains called to say they have found my bag (they knew my number because I had some CVs inside), but they can't find my laptop inside. Hopefully they just weren't looking hard enough. They're bringing it back up to Manchester Piccadilly for pickup tomorrow. We shall see if the laptop has evaded theft...

BTW, yesterday, I saw an advert for gadget insurance that covers theft and loss, unlike that offered by the shop I bought the laptop at. Lesson learned, there.
