Hey. Nice to see you again.

So... I'm flying to Canada in a week's time, attending a work conference for a week in Calgary, then heading over to the Toronto region to visit a lab there. The last day I plan to take some time out to check out Niagara Falls (see what all the fuss is about...). Should be pretty cool.

Now, at this point, some have probably figured out that I'm Australian. So, with that in mind, I'm sure you can imagine that I'm not exactly looking forward to the double-digit hour flight times to and from basically the opposite side of the planet, nor the brain-melting timezone differences. But apart from that...

And it's awesome to have a job that can take you to various parts of the world. Not that I generally enjoy traveling (my fursona is a cat for a reason), and I've never been outside Aus before, but still...

Anyway, all this means I'll be (mostly) gone for the last half of this month. Chances are I won't have caught up with all the submissions already posted just in the last few days by then (I like going through submissions in chronological order), so I'll probably have a good lot of catching up to do when I get back.

In other news, I'm currently battling the worst cold I can remember. Ugh. Usually it's just an annoyance and I can struggle on regardless. But this one has sent me back to bed a couple of times. Well, at least I didn't catch it a week later. That would suck exceptionally.
